The Jersey Wall
In 1959 the state of New Jersey needed a way to quickly divide multiple lanes of highway due to increasing road congestion and maintenance needs. The state turned to the Stevens Institute of Technology which developed the concrete structures you will see at ground zone. Jersey Walls can vary in material and size and are used in various applications. In my military experience we used them as cover and protection from small arms fire and the elements.
