Cachen er placeret i Ørestad Syd og er beliggende tæt på unik infrastruktur – motorvej til både Sverige, Tyskland og det øvrige Europa, metro, tog og fly – og arenaen ligger således i nærheden af alting.

Arenaen bliver centrum i et nyt bykvarter, hvor der udover boliger og virksomheder også kommer en kommunal skøjtehal, og hvor plangrundlaget giver mulighed for en ny folkeskole med gode idrætsfaciliteter.
Ambitionen er at skabe et velfungerende og blandet byområde i København, hvor byliv, sport og fritidsaktiviteter er i fokus.
Arenaen får 12.500 siddepladser til sport og op til 15.000 pladser til koncerter.
Brætspil. Et spil om verdens orden.
I det gamle Edda digt ”Vølvens spådom” har brætspil en vigtig plads i fortællingen om verdens undergang, Ragnarok. Brætspillet symboliserer det gode liv med orden og regler. Guderne spiller sorgløst med gyldne spillebrikker på spillebrædtet, indtil tre jættekvinder blander sig. Så begynder kampen mellem orden og kaos, og det ender med verdens undergang. Verden genfødes dog på ny og gudernes gamle spillebrikker dukker op i græsset. En ny verdensorden er skabt.

In the old Edda poem "Vølvens spådom" board games have an important place in the story of the end of the world, Ragnarok. The board game symbolizes the good life with order and rules. The gods carelessly play with golden playing pieces on the game board until three giantesses interfere. Then the battle between order and chaos begins, and it ends with the end of the world. However, the world is reborn anew and the old playing pieces of the gods appear in the grass. A new world order has been created.
