Join us for geocaching fellowship, refreshments, and fun! 🍪☕
Enter through the main entrance, take a left, then continue down the hall past the restrooms—our meeting room will be on your left.
I’ll provide light snacks for everyone to enjoy.
Participation in the Cache Exchange or Challenge Wheel of Fate is optional—you’re welcome to join the fun however you like!
🎁 #1: Cache Exchange
Here’s how to play:
1️. Hide a Cache Gift
Before the event, hide a temporary cache (“gift”) within 5 miles of the event coordinates.
- Difficulty and Terrain: 2 or less
- Use your imagination! It can be a traditional, puzzle, or multi-cache style.
- Include a gift worth about $20 total (container included). Ideas: gift cards, unactivated geocoins, trackables, swag, or creative cache containers.
- Make sure your container is weatherproof and animal-resistant.
- Record the coordinates where you hid your cache.
2️. Bring a Bison Tube
Bring a bison tube (any color—you can even decorate it!).
Inside, place a small slip of paper with:
- The coordinates of your hidden cache
- Your geocaching username
- (Optional) Your cell number for cache seekers who might need a hint
3️. The Exchange
At the event, all bison tubes will be hung on a small “Cache Tree.”
Each participant who contributes a bison tube will draw one in return.
We’ll hold a fun raffle to determine the picking order.
Families may bring multiple tubes—as long as one cache is hidden for each tube placed on the tree.
4️. Go Find Your Prize Cache!
After the event, use the coordinates from your chosen bison tube to locate your new cache gift.
Everything inside (and the container itself) is yours to keep!
These are temporary gift hides, not permanent caches, so please remove everything once found.
5️. Log and Share
When logging your “Attended” log, thank the cacher who hid your gift.
Feel free to share photos or descriptions of your find—this page will remain active for two weeks so everyone can enjoy reading the logs!
🎡 #2: Challenge Wheel of Fate
If you missed the Boxing Day 2025 Community Celebration Event (GCAVZ5B) in Lone Tree, here’s your second chance to spin the 2026 Challenge Wheel of Fate!
Take your geocaching to the next level in 2026—spin the wheel and let fate decide your geocaching challenge!
You’ll choose your difficulty level: Novice, Moderate, or EXTREME.
Then the Wheel of Fate will assign your unique challenge!
Possible challenge categories include:
- Filling your Fizzy Grid (Difficulty/Terrain combinations)
- Finding specific quantities of caches
- Exploring new cache types
- Expanding your geographical reach
- Completing caches hidden/found on certain dates
These challenges are for fun only—they’re not Geocaching.com challenge caches.
Each participant tracks progress on the honor system.
You’ll have until mid-December 2026 to complete your goal. A complete list of rules and details is available at tinyurl.com/39pmpsf3

✅ All Finishers will earn a prize. Those who choose the Extreme challenge level will earn a trackable 2026 Challenge Wheel of Fate coin, awarded at a December 2026 event!
And remember: the #1 rule of geocaching is to have fun.
