I was going to do something with the local po-po, but they wanted to keep it to 1hr and then never got back to me. So scrapped that plan.
I know this is Thanksgiving weekend, but I can't cook and I have nowhere to be. Geocachers are my family.
Participation in the swap meet is not required to attend this event. I will have some sort of snacks/food, but not sure what. If you wish, make suggestions in your Will Attend log. Everyone that posts a will attend and shows up will get a free trackable (courtesy of rainbow_guyz).
At Cachin' The Bay Block Party 2025, they had a swap meet. So let's try that. I'm stealing their text.
Do you have a garage full of cool geocaching supplies? Random items that you’ve been planning to make a gadget cache out of for the past ten years? Is your significant other worried you’re becoming a hoarder? Well now is the time to free yourself of geocaching junk and maybe trade it for some geocaching treasures!
Anything that’s related to geocaching. Some ideas:
• Containers or things to make containers (preforms, pill bottles, clean plastic food jars, cool boxes that just need waterproofing, etc.)
• Supplies for making or decorating creative geocache containers (interesting items that could make a cool creative cache, wire, fake ivy (well this is Bay Area text after all), electrical switch covers, etc.)
• Swag items (Did you buy a family-sized package of 500 plastic dinosaurs? Bring them!)
Anything left at the end of the day is subject to get thrown away.
