This Community Celebration Event is the tenth event for myself and Bindi the geo dog!! All of my events have required a bushwalk ..... and this is no different!! As a Reviewer (Moorundi) I was awarded this event and as this is a CP/Moorundi event it is a little different to my past events!!
It runs from 10.00 am. till 1.00 pm!! ............... yes earlier than other CP events!!
It is in April !! But dont worry ... the September event will also take place!
Bindi has decided, just for this one event, to replace her Souvenier Poo Bags with Souvenier Lunch Bags (though the content is certainly not edible) These are for the first 40 teams to sign the logbook.
Come along and celebrate those events that require just a little more effort. As usual I will be providing large quantities of Lamingtons.
You can wander in to GZ at any time betwen 10 am and 1 pm. The distance from the entry point to the event site is about 500 metres. It you want a very easy walk just follow the boundary track and that will get you within 50m. of GZ, Alternatively you can wander about in the scrub, enjoying the sights and discovering all manner of things!
There are no facilities so bring your own food and drink. Rain, hail, sleet, snow.... the event goes ahead. The only limitation will be if there is a total fire ban.... in which case the event will be moved to the Monarto Oval.
The purpose of this event is to enjoy a bushwalk, eat Lamingtons, pat Bindi and discuss all things geocaching in our great community! ....PLEASE NOTE ..... Entry to this park is via the listed park entry/parking coordinates!! Do not access this park from the Freeway ... this is illegal. Do not access the park from a "shortcut" by driving on the private property of the Monarto Industrial Estate .... there are security patrols there on weekends..... and access from such locations defeats the purpose of a Bushwalking Event!
