When I lived in Arkansas, I thought it was funny that people would meet up to trade stuff they didn't want. And then I got to thinking, maybe it's not so funny after all. Have your well intentioned relatives given you way too many bison tubes as a gift? Have you bought a bag of 800 zip ties and then realized you have a lifetime supply? You needed one of something to make a cache and had to buy 12? Or as time passed, your collection has grown and grown and grown? No joke, my collection of geocache building materials takes up 2 tall shelving racks. (Clearly I have hoarding tendencies!!!) Here is your chance to offload all those extra geocaching supplies - bring them to the NoCo Geocaching Swap Meet to trade or give away.
In addition to catching up with geocaching friends and trading goods, there will be fun and games! (Playing the game is not required to attend the event.) To participate: gather some of those extra geocaching supplies, put them in a paper lunch sack, and bring them along. Do not purchase anything to place in the bag, use only items that you already have. Last but not least, there will be a drawing for a few door prizes.
The Swap Meet will take place at the Timnath Community Center at 4750 Signal Tree Drive in Timnath, CO, 80547 from 1:30 to 3:30. If bad weather is in the forecast, I will post announcements about what to do. See you there!
