Reckon it’s time to raise a toast to 25 years of geocachin’ ... a quarter-century of trailblazin’, treasure huntin’, and cache-rustlin’ fun!
This year we'll be settlin' up camp once more at Marbury Country Park, where we've staked out a patch o' land for our BBQ and high-falutin' fun 'n' games. The hootenanny runs from high noon 'til the cows come home at 2.30pm.
Yee-Haw! Saddle up them ponies, shine them spurs and mosey on over ... it's rootin' tootin' sausage-munchin' time!
If ya got yerself a barbecue, haul it along, though there'll likely be plenty o' room on someone else's grill if you don't. Just don't forget to pack yer own vittles ... bison burgers, buffalo sausages, and if you're feeling mighty gutsy, a side o' possum roadkill.
That ol' rascal Two Duck Holliday has been schemin' a whole wagon-load o' games for y'all to try. Word round the campfire is, more doings will be sent out by smoke signal as soon as we've busted him out o' the county jail.
Camped out in their trusty teepee, Lannie Running Deer and Jan Bright Feather will be with their companion Urnie Iron Bear, dish’n out sarsaparilla and cactus juice for all you trail-weary cowpokes. Reckon they might have teas and coffees for y'all too.
Now, the Sheriff of Marbury County done tipped his hat and reminded us all there'll be a small fee for hitchin' up yer wagons in the corral.
From cowboys to outlaws, sheriffs to saloon gals ... we want to see ya in yer best western costumes! And bring yer critters and yer young varmints ... they're all welcome 'round this campfire!
Now don’t y'all go ridin’ off too quick once the dust settles ... word is a fresh herd o’ brand-spankin’ new geocaches will be rustlin’ their way onto the map just after the shindig. Better be quicker than a jackrabbit, or them claim-jumpin’ outlaws’ll grab the loot before ya!
