This New Jersey tradition, held the first Sunday in December, is one of the oldest geocaching events in the Northeast. It was started in 2004 as the first caching through the snow event by Team Rampant Lion (TRL) through CTTS #5 in 2008, when TRL moved to CA. The Northern New Jersey Cachers, NNJC, kept the tradition alive and hosted the 2009 CTTS #6 through - 2016 CTTS #13. This event was not held in 2017 and the December 2018 event was moved to March 2019. Covid caused no events for 2020 and NNJC hosted again in December 2021 and 2022. After a short hiatus, CTTS returns with event #18 to continue the tradition! We hope to try and carry on with this annual event.
The Northern New Jersey Cachers, NNJC is about promoting a quality caching experience in Northern New Jersey. For information on the Nothern New Jersey Cachers group, you can visit: www.nnjc.org
