Adventure Day 2025 Community Celebration Event

In Haine's Park

Please join me to celebrate Adventure Day 2025.

What better way to start the weekend than a Community Celebration Event that will also get you the Adventure Day Souvenir!

A little history - This is the site of my first Community Celebration Event back in May 2020. As I'm sure you remember, we were in the middle of Covid. I'm pretty sure this was the first CC event Groundspeak allowed. GPS Fun, Groundspeak, and I were in contact throughout the planning. It was postponed at least once, maybe twice (I'm getting old and the memory isn't what it used to be) due to the State of RI continuously changing contact rules. We ended up haveing a much needed event in the parking lot with groups of no more than 5 in each cluster. Hand sanitizer, snacks in sealed containers, an optional log to sign (if you were feeling brave) were all provided from the back of my Jeep.

I think everyone left that event feeling a little better about the state the world was in. I know many people thanked me for getting them out of the house and able to see friends, even if it was from a distance across the parking lot.

A little about this event - There will be a new set of Adventure Labs released the day of the event so everyone can get their Adventure Day souvenir. I know some people have to travel a distance to find new ones, hopefully this will help.

The cell service in the park can be a bit spotty. (I'm planning on checking this out ahead of time to see if it's an issue. If it is, I will locate the AL a little closer to the center of town, only a few minutes away). I will have the largest fence allowed on them to make them easier to log.

A little more about the event - I will have a small gift for everyone (Please log your will attend and how many, so I have enough). Snacks and water will be provided.

And even more - Anyone who has attended my events knows the weather doesn't always cooperate. (remember the hurricane for my CITO and then the breakfast blizzard?) This event will be held rain or shine. Just stop by the back of my Jeep if it's raining (it won't be the first time).

My fingers are crossed we will have a beautiful fall day!

I hope to see everyone at Haine's Memorial Park, Saturday October 18th, 9:30 am - 11:30 am.
