Community Celebration Event will start at 1:00 PM at Pavillion 7 in Landa Park, near the intersections of Landa and Monument Drives.
Come as you aren't: undead, walking dead, pumpkin head, full of dread, or otherwise. Costumes encouraged but certainly not required. The first 13 adults who show up in a costume will leave with extra swag. It will be worth it! This event will be held rain or shine. The pavillion, by definition, is in fact covered. I know you all brave weeds and animals and insects and thorns and other way more bothersome elements, a little rain won't stop us.
Let the ghoul times roll, indeed! I am very grateful that I was awarded a Community Celebration Event. My favorite day of any year is the day that the veil between this world and the next becomes thinnest, what better time of the year to finally host my Community Celebration Event? We have the pavillion rented for the entire day. The event begins at 1:00 PM and officially ends at 5:00 PM, the park doesn't close until midnight. If we stay that long, so be it.
I will bring three extra large pizzas: cheese, pepperoni, and veggie. If you have any crust preferences, message me and I'll see what I can do. I will also bring some traditional halloween treats and spooky music and sounds to set the vibe. There will be free swag grab bags for the first 20 attendees to arrive. Bring your own beverage and feel free to bring your favorite snack, dish, tricks or treats, and mayhaps some spooky games, music, or activities to share. We will also be celebrating SheRa_and _TxCherokee's 2000th find. The pavilion does have both electricity and a grill, plan and prepare accordingly. I'm looking forward to seeing old friends, making new ones. swapping tales and trackables and swag, and all of the other wonderful goodness that geocaching events afford us.
Special thanks to SheRa_ for helping me with this event and for her Knack for creativity.
