Orosman and I have moved down to Knysna and what a wonderful way to meet the local community by hosting an event.
I have been contemplating what to do for my Community Celebration event for a while and have decided to couple it with a GIFF event, as currently there does not seem to be any in South Africa at the moment.
The event will be taking place at our house, where we will be celebrating all things geocaching.
What is GIFF: GIFF 2025 is your chance to watch the entire reel of the 20 finalist films for the 2025 Geocaching International Film Festivle and vote for your favourite films. Attendees will also earn a souvenir for 2025 GIFF. We are incredibly lucky to have 2 finalists this year; Owlfly and Geobeeps
Where is it: 78 Ridge Drive, Knysna, WC
When is it: Saturday, 8th November, 2025 from 2pm. We will start watching the GIFF reel at 3pm and have a braai afterwards.
What to bring: Your preferred snacks, braai meat and drinks. Sides, deserts and popcorn will be provided.
PS. Due to the nature of where we are staying, there is only street parking available and there are stairs down to the house.
