You are invited to Edina and gr8xpec's Community Celebration Event at the Victor Farmington Library. Many thanks to the library for hosting us.
The event will start at 11am and end at 3pm. You do not have to stay for the whole time frame. We will rotate groups of 6 through the escape room portion of the event, so if you don't plan to stay the whole time, an option would be to arrive mid-way or during the second half of the event. If anyone has any questions, please contact me or gr8xpec. This is our first time hosting an event like this, and we are updating the cache page with more info as we get more details solidfied.
So Many Books, So Little Time
The world is filled with amazing books to read, cool sculptures of book characters, and fantastic book festivals. As a passionate reader, Edina's bucket list is filled with ideas related to books. Edina has been saving her pennies for years, prioritizing her list of places and events, and making detailed plans for the moment when she can set off on her adventure. She's ready to grab her bucket list and head off on the trip of a lifetime! Unfortunately, Edina kept her bucket list literally under lock and key, secured in a box with several locks to keep it safe.
Participants will work in teams, one team at a time, to solve and open this "escape room" style box.
There will be other activities such as working on solving gr8xpec's and Edina351's Geocaching puzzles GCAJ42G Wild Spirit of the West, GC7PQFZ Alcatraz, GC8095D 365, and GC91K21 Puzzle Time, as well as a "Geocaching 101" section to provide info to new geocachers or anyone interested in learning about geocaching, while waiting for a turn at the main "escape room" puzzle box.
Or just enjoy conversations and the company of your fellow geocachers while you wait.
The team that unlocks the puzzle box in the fastest amount of time with the least amount of hints will receive a geocoin (we have six total, one for each team member). Teams are limited to six people. We also have some small prizes inside the box for each team member that successfully unlocks the box. More info on this will be provided the day of the event. Once you complete the puzzle box part of the event, please do not disclose any info about it to the other attendees.
The library has requested that people planning to attend register on their website as well so they can keep an accurate count of how many people to expect. https://victorfarmingtonlibrary.libcal.com/event/14296755
