Wreaths Across America – Honoring Our Veterans
Join us as we come together to honor and remember our nation’s heroes. This year, geocachers will volunteer as part of Wreaths Across America at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. We’ll be helping place wreaths on veterans’ gravesites as a symbol of respect and gratitude for their service and sacrifice. The entire cemetery will receive over 13,000 wreaths, and our group will be responsible for placing about 500 wreaths in Section 4. Every helping hand makes a difference, and all are welcome—bring family and friends to share in this meaningful experience.
This year, National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Join the more than two million volunteers and supporters who will gather to Remember, Honor and Teach at more than 5,200 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad.
Remember -
Sponsor a veteran’s wreath in honor of or in memory of a loved one who served in our armed forces. Or, sponsor and allow us to designate a recipient among the millions of heroes who rest in honored glory.
Honor -
Volunteer with us as we honor our veterans throughout the year. From laying wreaths locally to leading a sponsorship group or coordinating a ceremony location, there are many ways to get involved!
Teach -
Invite your network of friends, family, coworkers and organizations to join us as we strive to honor every veteran. As the scope of our mission grows, so too does the need for support. Help us to spread the word!
We will meet at the posted cords for a brief meeting on the section where we will be placing wreaths and instructions on how to properly do so. We will all be in the same section and will be given approximately 500 wreaths to lay at the grave sites of each veteran. There will be a ceremony at 11 am for those who would like to stay and attend. Please log your "will attend" as soon as possible so that we can get an idea of how many folks will be able to help honor our veterans.
