Did someone say Bonfire?!
The answer is Yes! I am saying it. It is time for a Bonfire at the Beach! So grab your Goat Leggings (IYKYK) and head on down to Bolsa Chica State Beach and light up the night with us.
I have lots of wood I'm just itching to light up but welcome any clean wood or hard wood that anyone cares to bring.
What would a bonfire be without food, drinks and snacks. Alcohol is prohibited at the State Beaches (Boo!) so if you plan on being a sneakaloney, you've been warned.
As for food and snacks. I'm sure a certain someone I know whose name rhymes with tootles will put something together but anyone wishing to help out in that department would be most welcome.
Not sure what weather will be like but it's mostly likely to be pretty chilly in the evening so make sure you have something on you or in your car to take care of that.. Jumping in to the bonfire to warm up is not acceptable. That would leave a mark and the smell would really harsh our mellow.
The location of the fire pit and tables is on a first come first serve basis but we're hoping it won't be taken. Be sure to log your Will Attend so you will be notified of updates or minor location changes if needed. There are plenty of other fire pits around but fingers crossed we'll snag good ol' Number 12 for our festivities.
We're going to meet at Area 12 at the far South end of Bolsa Chica State Beach. Parking here does require a fee or a California State Parks Pass. I will try to have a couple of passes available for those who don't have or can't get one. Failing all that, we will have a shuttle service set up for anyone wishing to park at the far North End behind the jack in the box which is a free parking area just outside the park . See parking waypoints below.
