Let's Celebrate 25 years of Geocaching!
Woodland Wander 5.0 is bigger and better than ever, because this year it will be a Community Celebration Event! The event is two hours long instead of one hour, so we are adding some games to entertain you. Perhaps you might try your hand at some letterbox orienteering. Do you have a good geocaching story? Or... it all depends on how creative the 2 book lovers get.
As usual we’ll gather at our horse barn so even if it rains, we can have plenty of space to talk, swap Pathtags, discover and swap trackables and drop subtle hints about puzzles encountered. There is plenty of parking on the lawn, it is not a fancy lawn! There will be a group photo at 10:30 am. We’ll have some snacks and beverages on hand. Be aware that there are no restrooms available at the farm.
Games and Contests! The UPDATED list includes (but is not limited to)
- Booker's Letterbox-style Navigation Competition
- Navigate from a starting point using several distance and bearing steps, plant your flag and see who gets closest!
- Booker's Duck Wrangling Game
- Find four specific ducks from a flock of about 50 as fast you can!
- Booker's Pin the Bison Tube on the Pine Tree Game
- You know you love them, stick your bison tube on the pine tree and see who comes closest
- Geocaching Tall Tale Telling
- Tell a Tall Tale in less than Two Minutes, prizes to the “best” tales!
- Drawing for Door Prizes!

The 2024 group! (most of them)
On the farm there are 16 caches, including puzzles, traditionals, multis, letterboxes and 2 night caches. There will be the optional “Woodland Wander” after the meet and greet! If the tractor starts and it isn't thundering, there will be wagon rides out to the woods. There will be a TWO new caches in our woods set to be published the day of the event! To avoid a FTF stampede, all event attendees who find any/all of the new caches can claim a co-FTF. (No claiming an FTF from the comfort of the meet and greet!) Beyond the farm there are over 50 well-established caches in the Boyceville area, including a PNG series, solve-on-site puzzles, head-scratching puzzles, scenic hiking caches, multis, letterboxes and even an Adventure Lab.
Interested in the D5/T4.5 Multi Nuts about TOTTs? GCAF0TW Don't be scared! After the FTF search, we can organize a guided safari to make sure that you don't wander through the wrong bramble patch!

The "Caching Chariot" awaits you!
