I apologize for the convoluted nature of this. I want to show you something I think is interesting, but I’m unable to hide a cache at that site. So …
The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. Solve this two-step puzzle to find it. Solve the first step at home. Solve the second step in the field.
There is a site in Hillsboro that honors the annual Hillsboro Air Show with a display of models of five real aircraft of local significance. The models were built by Glen Geller and Curt Oliver and include:

Puzzle Part One: The year that Beachey flew the Gelatine from the Expo to Fort Vancouver is XXXX. Add X.XXX to both the north and west of these dummy coordinates:
N 45° 29.709 W 122° 54.936
Part One checksum (total of the digits): N = 24; W = 29
Puzzle Part Two: Go to those new coordinates. Look up and admire the model of the Gelatine.
Then go about 45-50 feet northish from it to a large green utility box. In the upper left corner of the west side (the side away from the parking lot) is a white label with two numbers.
The bottom number has 3 digits: YYY Add .YYY to both the north and west of these new dummy coordinates:
N 45° 31.513 W 122° 56.570
Final checksum: N = 28; W = 25
This new calculation will lead you to the final.
