Ţara Haţegului este cunoscută pentu fapte istorice deosebit de importante, un loc unde romanii au întemeiat capitala provinciei Dacia, un ținut vestit pentru bisericile medievale din piatră însă, datorită descoperirilor din ultimele decenii ne îndreptăm atenția asupra dinozaurilor pitici.
Ştiaţi că în această lume dominată de pitici, paradoxal, a fost întâlnit unul dintre cele mai mari animale zburătoare, dacă nu chiar cel mai mare pterozaur, făcând parte din grupul reptilelor și anume Hatzegopteryx tambema “înfricoșătorul animal înaripat din Hațeg”, care avea un craniu de aproape 3 m lungime, cu o distanţa dintre extremităţile aripilor desfăcute de aproape 12 m?
