*At GNS Science Lower Hutt….*
GNS R1: Gases are now affecting Porirua, WHat Should We Do?
GNS R2: We can only establish more cameras so far….
Geonet R1: So…. What if these fields come to Upper Hutt? Or Wellington?!
GNS R1: our studies so far show that no sulphuric activity can be seen under Upper Hutt or Wellington Yet…
GNS R2: That is good, isn’t it?
Geonet R1: Yeah…. However, we’ve been getting reports of sulphur being emitted from West Makara towards the South Island.
GNS R2: Are you Kidding Me?!
Geonet R1: No………

*At 6:00 PM NZST, The News Would Make a Headline About the Situation*
Breaking News Large amounts of sulfuric gases have been reported within the Makara Hills, affecting parts of the South Island. This event follows the recent Lower Hutt and Porirua sulphur fields disaster, but is significantly larger in scale. A huge rift of lava has also appeared within Makara, puzzling geologists and scientists, as Wellington is not typically known for such volcanic activity. A large rift emitting sulfuric gases and lava has formed in the Makara Hills, leading to serious health concerns and environmental hazards. Thousands of residents have evacuated to safer areas, including Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, Picton, Lake Grassmere, Kaikoura, and Nelson. Christchurch is currently housing the most refugees from this sudden event. While some speculated that this could signal an eruption from Lake Taupo or Lake Rotorua, scientists have confirmed no volcanic activity in these lakes. The rift has been attributed to a sudden change in the North Island Fault Line. The sulfuric gases pose significant health risks, particularly respiratory issues. Residents in affected areas are advised to wear masks and avoid inhaling the gases. Authorities have warned against drinking water from potentially contaminated sources such as Porirua Harbour, Wellington Harbour, Wairau River, Lake Rotorua, and the Waihopai River. Support for Emergency services are providing support to evacuees, ensuring they have access to safe shelters, food, and medical care. Geologists and scientists are actively studying the rift and its implications. Continuous monitoring of the fault line and volcanic activity in the region is underway to provide timely updates and ensure public safety. Residents in the affected areas are urged to stay informed, follow safety guidelines, and cooperate with emergency services. The situation is being closely monitored, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available. Stay with us for the latest updates on this developing story. On other news—

*At Around 5:40 PM, Geonet would make a shocking discovery*
Geo R1: Hey, You know how sulfuric gases have been affecting Makara, Lower Hutt and Porirua right?
Geo R2: Yeah, What About it?
Geo R1: Well, many people have reported with what seems to be steam from Makaro Island and Barrett Reef, with a few reports about steam from Somes Island.
Geo R2: Wait, What?
Geo R1: Yeah, it's bizarre. We've been monitoring the situation closely, and it seems like there's some sort of geothermal activity occurring on the islands. It could be related to the recent seismic activity and the formation of the rift in West Makara.
Geo R2: That's concerning. If there's significant geothermal activity, it could indicate potential volcanic activity in the area, right?
Geo R1: Exactly. We need to investigate further to understand the extent of the activity and assess any potential risks to the surrounding areas. It's crucial to keep the public informed and ensure their safety.
Geo R2: Agreed. Let's gather more data and coordinate with other agencies to respond effectively to this new development. We can't afford to overlook any potential threats to the community.
Geo R1: Absolutely. I'll alert the relevant authorities and continue monitoring the situation. We need to act swiftly and decisively to protect the residents of Wellington and surrounding areas.
*At 6:43 PM, Geonet Discovered Something Shocking…*
Geo R1: OMG Bro, You need to look at this.
Geo R2: What is it?
Geo R1: We’ve just discovered a large magma chamber underneath Wellington.
Geo R2: Wait, What?
Geo R1: Yeah, it's shocking. The discovery of a large magma chamber beneath Wellington changes everything. It likely explains the recent seismic activity, including the sulfuric fields and the Mount Victoria earthquake.
Geo R2: That's a major revelation. So, volcanic activity has been detected in multiple locations across the region?
Geo R1: Exactly. Mount Victoria, Makaro Island, Mount Albert, Barrett Reef, East Harbor Ridges, Somes Island, Battle Hill, West Makara, Mana Island, and several other areas have shown signs of volcanic activity. This indicates a widespread volcanic threat that we need to address immediately.
Geo R2: We need to act fast to assess the situation and implement measures to protect the public. Evacuations, emergency preparedness, and communication with affected communities are all critical at this time.
Geo R1: Agreed. We'll need to coordinate with local authorities, emergency services, and scientific experts to develop a comprehensive response plan. The safety of residents in Wellington and surrounding areas is our top priority.
Geo R2: I’ll stage a conference meeting at GNS Science at Lower Hutt to discuss the situation.
*At 3:45PM The next day, Civil Defence Makes Headline*

*Conference Meeting At GNS Science Lower Hutt…*
Hello, I’d like to thank you all for attending this conference meeting this afternoon. As you know, sulfuric gases have appeared in Lower Hutt, Porirua and Makara, but that was long ago. I mainly want to talk about the scarily high Seismic and Volcanic activity around Wellington, Porirua and the Hutt Valley. Recently, a magnitude 4.9 earthquake struck Mount Victoria, which is quite unusual for wellington. But this has been proven to be caused by a new magma chamber underneath Wellington. While Makara has been dealt with, the other sites we have no current info of about how they are also being affected. As well as that, multiple earthquakes have also struck Somes Island, Naenae and Tahiti Bay. While volcanic unrest has been spotted under 23 different sites, none of these sites besides Makara have been proven to have any connection to the Wellington chamber. This new chamber has also disrupted the Petone aquafat, which has now entirely dried up. I’d also like to mention that th- *Distant Explosion*- Wait, what the heck was that? *Shockwave hits the area* AUDIO NOT AVAILABLE

All Devices Should be airing this Broadcast. This message has been issued by the Australian Coastguard. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. THIS IS A TSUNAMI WARNING.
A series of tsunamis have been triggered by the recent VEI 7 volcanic eruption in New Zealand. These tsunamis are expected to make landfall on the eastern coast of Australia imminently. Residents in coastal areas are urged to evacuate to higher ground immediately. The tsunamis pose a severe threat to life and property. Evacuate immediately if you are in a coastal area. Waste no time gathering personal belongings. The priority is to ensure your immediate safety. Leave your home and head towards designated evacuation routes. Move to higher ground or inland as quickly as possible. Seek out the highest points available in your vicinity. If you are in a vehicle, drive towards inland areas that are above sea level.
