[RO] Cutia a fost p usă cu ocazia eventului GeoDino Quest XVI şi face parte din geoartul DINO
Ştiaţi că: : Familia Kendeffy (numele familiei româneşti a fost schimbat de maghiar; numele original a fost Cândea) a fost atât de bogată încât au crezut că nu au suficiente castele şi au ridicat în jurul anului 1782, un castel minunat, cu pivniţă de vinuri, cu saloane mari foarte potrivite pentru baluri şi candelabra somptuoase. A fost construit în stilul baroc şi a fost transformat în stil gotic în timpul reconstrucţiei care a avut loc între anii 1870-1874 de către Contele Arpad Kendeffy. Arcele ferestrelor şi balcoanele castelului sunt impresionante şi oferă o privelişte superb asupra parcului şi Munţilor Retezat, care se văd în depărtare. Did you know that: The Kendeffy family (the name of a Romanian family turned Hungarian; the original name was Cândea) was once so rich that they thought they didn’t have enough castles and they raised it, at around 1782, a beautiful castle, with a wine cellar, with high halls, very suited for balls and sumptuous chandeliers. It was build in the baroque style and was transformed into ghotic style during a reconstruction carries out between the years 1870-1874 by count Arpad Kendeffy. The arch windows and balconies of the castle are impressive and offer a superb view over the park and the Retezat Mountains, which are seen in the distance. For a period, after the Communist nationalization, it was a hotel.
