PlaceSpotting was an online game back in the late 2000s where a picture of a location was posted and players would use Google Maps to try and establish where the place was. It required geolocation skills such as scanning and searching for visual clues, geographic knowledge, persistence and an eye for detail.
Sadly, PlaceSpotting is no longer available and so this puzzle builds on the idea by challenging you to find a specific 3m x 3m square somewhere on the surface of the Earth... welcome to SquareSpotting!
