This is the bonus cache for the Mt Trashmore Adventure Lab. You will discover the coordinates of the bonus cache while you are completing the AL. The final location for this bonus cache is not inside the gate of the landfill site.
Long time Cedar Rapids residents will not forget July 16, 1985. That was the day that the PVC domes of the closed sewage treatment plant in this area caught on fire and released a toxic cloud of hydrochloric acid over Cedar Rapids. 10,000 people were evacuated and the entire downtown was shutdown. Roadblocks were set up on all the streets leading to downtown, shutting down access to all the downtown businesses. The evacuation order was lifted by mid day on July 17th.
