Island Beach Road is a beautiful road along the Lake Superior shoreline, abouot 1 1/2 miles long.. Privtely owned houses line the space between the Lake and the Road. The road shows on several maps as extensions of Lake Shore Blvd but it's always been Island Beach Road for years to most of us old-timers here. The street sign showed Lakeshore Blvd for several years but consensus to returned it to its original name several years ago.
The stsreet ends at a locked gate which is the eastern side of property owned by Middle Island and it's private property beyond the gate.
