Welcome to Marshall’s Hideout! A PERFECT find for cachers with kids. This geocache is inspired by Marshall, the brave Dalmatian firefighter from PAW Patrol. Just like Marshall, this hideout is all about adventure, fun, and a bit of a challenge.
THE CACHE:
After introducing geocaching while nannying, I’ve noticed a lack of child-oriented caches. This cache was created to reignite the magic I had as a kid when “treasure hunting”.
This hide is a regular-sized ammo can filled (originally) with on-theme goodies for your little ones. This cache will also serve as a hub for travel-bugs/trackables within the Sooke area. Please be respectful in what you take and leave behind by keeping this cache exciting little treasure-hunters. Your own swag does not have to fit the theme, but must be appealing. Think of your inner child - if you were lucky to cache as a child, remember what you liked finding as “treasure”!
The coordinates may bounce around a bit (due to the forest).

Woodland Creek Park Trail offers a lovely leisurely stroll with picturesque scenery and a perfect, immersive experience for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers alike.
While you’re here, enjoy the stunning environment of forest and creekside, the abundant birdlife, and the picturesque scenery. But don’t get too distracted – Marshall needs your help to find his secret hideout!
Parking is available along Callumwood Lane beside the playground.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is a nature trail. Please be respectful of the natural environment. Take only photos and leave only footprints. Make sure to re-hide the geocache just as you found it to keep the adventure alive for future geocachers. If the cache is visible upon finding it, please hide in a similar manner using your geocaching hiding skills.
If possible, please practice CACHE IN TRASH OUT. It also gives you a reason to be off the trail ;)
