Geocache Description:

The Preamble: You will no doubt have noticed that this is a Mystery cache by the attention-grabbing blue logo at the top of the page, and as you likely already know this means you won't find the cache container at the posted coordinates. What you will need to do to locate the container is to fill in the blanks below to find the four clue words you will enter into the geochecking utility called Certitude. There is a link to the Certitude site provided below.

The Geocache: Geocaching.com published a list of cache themes in their blog of January 5, 2024, and for the month of August the theme is "Nautical/Water". In the spirit of Create-A-Cache, I asked the gnomes in the Geo-Workshop to craft a custom container to be fitted out in a manner that is appropriate to the theme, and they came through with this cache which is of a style that you my have encountered before. Some call it a clarinet while others call it a nightmare. I'll let you decide for yourself once you have solved the Mystery!

The Team: While Bodhi (Senior-Gnome-in-Charge) usually guides the team through the cache creation process, for this cache a rather unexpected young volunteer stepped forward with a wonderful container that fit the theme nicely. New Apprentice Gnome Cypress found the cache container at a garage sale and she immediately knew the exact parts and specifications required to craft this simple yet sophisticated cache/host combination.

About Water: It is common knowledge that without water a human being cannot survive for long, and there are other elemental things without which a human will surely perish. Often referred to as "The Rule of Threes", you must fill in the blanks in this list to discover the four necessary clue words:

You can survive three _____ without food

You can survive three _____ without drinkable water

You can survive three _____ in extreme heat or extreme cold

You can survive three _____ without breathable air

Take these four clue words in order and enter them into Certitude using lower case letters with no spaces between the words!

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

One important final tip: A wise cacher always brings water along on their hike. For this one it is wise to bring at LEAST one litre!
