Cascata do Curral Pequeno
O sítio do Curral Pequeno, é um local estratégico no que se refere ás deslocações a pé posto, especialmente no auge da exploração turística estrageira, no séc XVIII e XIX.
Era local de ligação entre o Funchal e a parte Norte da Ilha, especialmente por quem queria parar no Monte.
Ao percorrer a levada dos Tornos, a mais longa da Ilha da Madeira, nesta secção, o quadro paisagístico oferece panoramas desafogados para a baía do Funchal, e para os vales mais fechados cuja vegetação, mais monótona e exótica, torna o coberto vegetal pouco rico. Por esse motivo, quando nos depreendemos com a cascata, esta transforma-se no ponto de maior interesse, que pela ação natural da água como depois pela complexidade de aproveitamento, pelo homem, deste recurso.
É uma queda de água que pertence á ribeira de João Gomes, https://arquivo-abm.madeira.gov.pt/details?id=74089 que desagua na mesma foz que a Ribeira de Santa Luzia, perto do Mercado dos Lavradores.
No sentido Este-Oeste, é pontuada por vegetação endémica, tanto arbórea, como herbácea.

Curral Pequeno Waterfall
The Curral Pequeno site is a strategic location when it comes to traveling on foot, especially at the height of foreign tourist exploitation, in the 18th and 19th centuries.
It was a connection point between Funchal and the northern part of the island, especially for those who wanted to stop at Monte.
When traveling along the levada dos Tornos, the longest on Madeira Island, in this section, the landscape offers open panoramas over the bay of Funchal, and the more closed valleys whose vegetation, more monotonous and exotic, makes the natural cover not very rich. For this reason, when we see the waterfall, it becomes the point of greatest interest, both due to the natural action of the water and also due to the complexity of how humans use this resource.
It is a waterfall that belongs to the Ribeira de João Gomes, https://arquivo-abm.madeira.gov.pt/details?id=74089 which flows into the same mouth as the Ribeira de Santa Luzia, close to Mercado dos Lavradores.
In the East-West direction, it is punctuated by endemic vegetation, both arboreal and herbaceous.
