Geocache Description:

Welcome to Bonnyfield Nature Reserve!

This beautiful nature reserve in the village of Bonnybridge is located just at the edge of Bonnybridge before it becomes Dennyloanhead. The full walk around it is 2.5km but this cache does around 1km, give or take. The nature reserve is also next to the High Street, John Muir Way and the Forth and Clyde Canal.

The area was located on a former sand and gravel quarry. Today it sits next to a distillery and a nice housing estate. The nature here is incredible, with a wide variety of insects, plants, the odd rabbit or deer and there's also a pond with frogs and some newts. Additionally, the Burnet Moth, one of the rarer moths in the British Isles, has been spotted here.

The reserve has 3 caches, this one, an entry in the Bonnybridge Railway series (absolutely recommend doing by the way) and one further at the bridge which takes you to the canal and a nearby roman fort.

Ok, onto the stages. The stages are about collecting how many letters are in a word on 2 signs located within the nature reserve.

STAGE 1

This stage is at the posted coordinates. It's a sign welcoming you to the nature reserve. It's a bit small so be careful you don't miss it. Here, you get values A, B, C.

In the word after "it's", whats the length of the word?.Make this Value A.

What's the length of the word before "Nature"? That number minus 5 and you'll have Value B.

Whats the length of the word after "Please"? That's Value C.

Checksum at this stage is 15.

STAGE 2

This stage is at coordinates N 55 59.9B(C-1) W 003 54.BBA. Here you get values D, E, F.

The heading of the plaque, what's the length of the word? That will give you Value D.

On the plaque, what's the type of deer? The number of letters in the first word is Value E.

How many letters are after Hazel? That's Value F.

Checksum at this stage is 18.

FINAL COORDINATES

Final coordinates are at N55 59.ADF W003 53.(C+2)BE
