SEMAG Meet & Greet #114 - Travel Bug Wacky Races

Location: Moose Hill Farm Reservation, Sharon, MA

Additional Info: Welcome to the starting line of 2024 SEMAG Travel Bug Wacky Races! At this event we will kick off a year long travel bug race. Participation in the TB Race is not required to attend the event, all are welcome. The plan is to have a wrap-up event after the bugs have been racing for a year, and prizes will be awarded. The race is intended to be for fun, the prizes do not represent any significant monetary value, just recognition for those bugs who by luck and by chance happened to travel far, or who accomplish other interesting travel objectives.

Event coordinates are for the parking lot. There is a paved path down to picnic tables, or an open grass area not far from the lot, where we plan to meet for the event.

Travel Bug Wacky Race Participation: Anyone is welcome to participate in the race by entering a travel bug. The travel bug must either be newly activated and released at the event, or have no previous mileage tracked before this event. If you do not have a travel bug but wish to participate, a limited number of unactivated travel bugs will be available at the event. All travel bugs participating will have their codes logged for tracking. All travel bugs participating will also have to be taken and released by someone else attending the event. 

August 17, 2024 is also International Geocaching Day. By attending this event you will automatically earn a new souvenir.
