Sør-Tverrfjord is a beautiful cabin paradise that is partially depopulated, with only a few remaining and newly arrived residents. The village has a local store where you can also fill up on fuel.

Det går en daglig ferge fra Sør-Tverrfjord til Bergsfjord og Øksfjord, unntatt på lørdager. Det er også veiforbindelse til nabobygda Sandland.

Cachen er en lock-n-lock-boks som inneholder loggbok, FTF-sertifikat, og noen få bytteting.
