We grew up down the street from here and had many a long day playing in Pinks Green Park. On the beach we usually spent hours looking for the perfect skimmer stone and perfecting our throw. The other day I brought my daughter down to relive a bit of my own childhood and I saw the perfect spot for a geocache, if we had the right container for it.
I found this picture on the internet the other day - certainly not from my childhood days, we were there in the 80's when the sandpit still existed and you used the sand on the slide to make it extra fast, especially flying over the hump in the middle of the old slide. The summer house was still there, although really run down. It was removed during our summers but gave us more space for cricket and the fastest route to run down to the beach when we raced as kids. Many happy memories here, so we hope you enjoy this one.
The Cache: It's not in the park but down on the beach. Hidden in plain sight so we don't know how long it may exist in this spot, but my daughter and I agree it's pretty sneaky. We may need to give a few another hint incase it's too tricky... STOP READING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ IT..........to the bottom left.
P.S We placed my daughters Travel Bug inside to start its journey :)
