Embark on a journey to a 5-stage multi-cache on the Mustang Loop Trail! The large, open meadows nearby are a treat to explore and provide a natural habitat for various wildlife, including bees, butterflies, birds, white-tailed deer, red foxes, and other small animals. Please be mindful of horses on these trails. Parking is available near the entrance of Mustang Loop Trail. Handle each stage with care and hide them well!

Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area
Managed by the Bureau of Land Management - Eastern States, the Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area (SRMA)is an 800-acre mosaic of gently sloping open meadows, mature hardwood forests, freshwater ponds, creeks, streams, and riparian wetlands. This diverse habitat supports a great variety of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, red fox, coyote, beaver, raccoons, hawks, eagles, reptiles, amphibians, and more. Meadowood, which is home to 30 species of migratory songbirds, is within the National Audubon Society’s Lower Potomac River Important Bird Area. Fishing is allowed in the two ponds at Meadowood. A Virginia fishing license is required.
