- Almost a park and grab for National Lighthouse Day!
- I parked on the side of the road on M18 because it was early evening on a Monday. Weekends will be busy. You could park on the side of the road on Grove and walk to GZ if you wish. However you decide to get to GZ enjoy the hunt.
(I hope you enjoy the container.....But please, please, please be gentle with the clasp on the lid of the lighthouse.)
Observed annually on August 7th, this day honors the beacon of light that for hundreds of years symbolized safety and security for ships and boats at sea. At one time, the beacon of light could be found across almost all of America's shorelines.
Lighthouses are special because they serve to warn mariners of dangerous shallows and perilous rocky coasts, and they help guide vessels safely into and out of harbors.
