This is Bear's Run. Bear loved this mountain! He grew up in Kenya, but loved the snow as soon as he felt it. He loved to come down this little horseshoe hollow and chase the chipmunks, and grouse, and smell the tracks of deer. Bear died on July 24, 2020. This is one of two memorials to Bear on the mountain in spots he loved.
Follow in Bear's footsteps and come down the horseshoe hollow, keeping an eye for little animals as you go. Look for the large aspen a little walk down from the base of the horseshoe, and find Bear's Run cache! Celebrate the love of life that Bear had, and celebrate yourself for getting out on the mountain and finding Bear's Run!
