**Hike and Seek 2024 : Jackson County**

Come out and join iowaPete for a round of Geo-Golf!  You only need one club in your bag - a gps (or smart phone, if you prefer).  We'll have 9 holes set up on the paved walking loop at La Motte Recreational Park.  Please arrive promptly at 10:30am to receive your scorecard and an explanation of the rules. You can play as a single or in twosomes. First tee time is 10:40am. All you need to do is walk and mark.  Each hole will have a flag stick in place.  Make your way to the flag and mark the spot on your gps.  Record either the last three digits of the latitude or longitude as indicated on your score card. 

I will have a master list of "par" score for each hole.  The most acurate golfer or team will be the Champion!  Complete the 9-hole loop and turn your scorecard in for verification.

If you happen to have an iowaPete signature golf tee, you might wanna bring it to the event for a small scoring bonus!  

In the event of a tie, there will be two tiebreakers.  The player/team that matches the most holes EXACTLY to par will be the Champion.  For the second tiebreaker, I will provide a set of coordinates and the players will "Plant a Flag" where they think that might be.  Closest to the pin wins.

**Cache at your own risk**

 

Geocaching, hiking, backpacking and other outdoor activities involve risk to both persons and property.
