We’re excited to take this opportunity to further intergalactic friendship! Our friends from outer space are here and having a blast geocaching, and we certainly don't want them to see discarded trash, so let's get together for a quick cleanup !
This event will take place at the short stretch of road sponsored by Geocaching Colorado, which is just north of Peterson SPACE Force Base. See the Cosmic Quest connection there ?
Stop by, pick up some trash and log the event to earn 3 points toward your Cosmic Quest digital souvenirs !
We will meet at the posted coordinates at 10:00 AM and discuss the area to be cleaned and the happenings for the event. After that, trash bags will be supplied for people to gather trash.
Then at 10:30 we will reconvene at the listed coordinates where each CITO-cacher will get a numbered ticket for FREE and tickets will be drawn one at a time, and several items will be given away including a GOLD colored Geocaching Colorado (GCCO) 2024 geocoin -- many thanks to animjason for giving one to Glenn at event GCATFMH 2024 Geocaching Colorado Geocoin Release ⚪ SPRINGS for Glenn to give away at his next event which is this one !
While it is not guaranteed that everyone will receive a free item, there will be several items to be given away at no charge.
