You will need a watercraft (canoe/kayak/SUP/tube) to retrieve this cache on the James River. If you are using a tube then start your float at Huguenot Flatwater and make sure you pull out before the Z-Dam near William's Island. Please check local water levels before your journey. Life jackets are required at 5 feet and above. Do not attempt this cache when river exceeds 9 feet.
Welcome to Williams Island! The mighty James can get quite angry at times. At high waterlevels, it is a sight to behold. Because we certainly wouldn't want things to float away, a "levitated" cache placement would be prudent and keep things on the "up and up."
