LET'S CLEAN NAQUORA COAST
We propose to all the geocachers in the area and, in special, to those working at the South of the Litani River to joint together to clean the sea shore in front of UNIFIL HQ Base.
The meeting place for those with a valid UNIFIL ID, is the Spanish House. From this point, close to the listing coordinates, we will descend to the shore to remove plastic bottles, pieces of wood, the windows of a car,... and all the trush we found!
For those without a valid UNIFIL ID: go to the Port of Naquora (see Waypoint) and follow the coast until the given coordinates.
After the CITO, all articipants will be rewarded with a lunch offered by the Spanish contingent in Naquora.
This activity has been closely coordinated with the Spanish Contingent in UNIFIL (Naquora), the UNIFIL Moral and Welfare Unit and the Security Unit of the UNIFIL HQ Base.
We are aware of the current situation around Naquora. It's volatile and unpredectible. So, SECURITY FIRST! Stay tuned for news and safety recommendations.
If any of you can't attend the event but want to be connected with the geocaching community in the area, write a note or contact us through the geocaching message system.
The organization of the event will provide the means (bags and gloves) to perform this activity and will organise the disposal of the collected rubish.
