An der Nordseite des Speers kann man bis Mittelwengi auf 1050 ü. NN hinauf fahren. Vom Parkplatz sind es nur wenige Minuten bis zur Wengbachbrücke. Hier gibt es eine kleine Grillstelle und die Möglichkeit, sich im Bach abzukühlen.
