Texas Skatium is one of the most popular places for teen and pre-teen birthday parties in the state. The Art and Seek website called Texas Skatium "the best dang skating rink this side of the world" after it opened back up following the winter storm of 2021, during which it sustained major water damage.
Patti Craft, owner of the establishment, said this of the rink's state after the storm: "“There were no walls, no ceilings, no floors, no plumbing, no electric,” Craft said. “There was nothing but the outside shell.”
We've heard they do something to the floors here that just makes the skates glide on the surface and roller skaters from all over seem to love coming to Texas Skatium, birthday party or not.
