Escape to the largely untouched flora and fauna that await discovery in the Spring Creek Preserve. Home to a relic forest of 100 to 300 year-old Chinquapin, Bur, and Shumard oaks and over 650 species of plants and animals, this park is a nature lover’s dream. Choose between paved trails through towering relic trees soaring to the heights of 100 feet at the Spring Creek Forest Preserve or the unpaved interpretive nature trail at Spring Creek Park Preserve.
If you want to find the cache, we're afraid you won't be able to stick to only the paved paths.
Along your hike you will come upon an unexpected item in the woods. Known affectionately as "the Bonnie and Clyde Car" because it's riddled with bullet holes, this has been the location of a geocache since the early days of geocaching (November 2003). Of course, if you've found a cache here before you'll need to mount a new search. Start by finding the redirector at the posted coordinates.
