Sesachacha Pond is located off Quidnet Road and is known to be one of the island’s cleanest bodies of water by the Massachusetts Estuaries Project. It is Nantucket’s largest kettle pond and one of the deepest ponds on the island at 43 feet. With calm, warm waters, Sesachacha Pond is the perfect family-friendly beach day destination, with small sailboats and kayaks dotting the shores.
Quidnet Beach is a short walk over the dunes from the pond with soft sand beaches. A great escape from some of the more popular beaches, Quidnet Beach is known for the opportunity to see seals pop their heads above water. Here you can swim, fish, and enjoy long walks on the beach.
