Clayton Library is a branch of Monash Public Library Service, a vibrant and responsive service located in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Formed in 1994 after an amalgamation of the former Districts of Oakleigh and Waverley, services are now delivered out of six branches across the local area.
This Geocache is only accessible during the Clayton Library opening hours. Currently, the library hours are:
Monday - Friday: 9.30 am - 8 pm;
Saturday 9.30 am - 4 pm;
Sunday 2 pm - 5 pm
However, this can change without notice. Please check the library website before your journey: www.monlib.vic.gov.au.
The first cache is hidden outside the library. You need this to find the final cache. Have fun!
Clue:
So... you think you know about books and libraries... here is a challenge for you.
At Monash Library Service, non-fiction books are organised by Collection Name and a call number. The call number includes the Dewey Decimal classification (subject) followed by the first three letters of the author’s surname. Books are shelved in order according to these call numbers. For this game, TRAVEL carefully!
To learn more about the Dewey Class and how books are classified by numbers, visit www.librarything.com/mds.
