Geocache Description:

After twenty years of planning and multiple years of construction, State Route 11/US129 North (Appalachian Parkway) begins at South Main Steet in Cleveland, Georgia and travels eight miles North before ending at the intersection of the former " Hulsey Road" and State Route 75 between Cleveland and Helen, Georgia.  This roadway was originally labeled as the "Cleveland Bypass" by because it provided those traveling through the "Gateway to the Mountains" to Helen and beyond an alternate to the congestion that had become routine within the small town of Cleveland.  On November 24, 2015, the roadway was offically named the Appalachian Parkway, partially because of the scenic Appalachian Mountain views that is experienced during the drive.

As you travel the parkway, you will reach the cache watching over Yonah in the distance and warning travelers of potential hazards that may exists during their journey as the parkway is heavily traveled. The GZ offers ample space to allow for parking safely off the roadway during your search.

Cache is a micro and only contains a log.  BYOP and Tweezers may be needed.
