Records indicate that there may been as many as 47 interments here, with dates of death ranging from 1851 up through 1944. I tend to doubt the pre-1900 dates. There are evidently a number of graves here for which no data at all is known.
This was an African-American cemetery and speculation is that it fell into disuse after the opening of the nearby Clearview Cemetery.
There are no longer any extant grave markers except some alleged rusting metal tags scattered about.
Nothing can be seen from the road to in any way indicate this was once a cemetery.
