Join the Chattanooga Area Geocachers at beautiful Booker T. Washington State Park for a cookout and retirement party, nestled along the shores of Chickamauga Lake. This scene offers the perfect backdrop for a fun-packed evening with geocachers of all ages.
Will we have new geocaches to find? Absolutely!
Will the littles have a playground nearby to enjoy? You betcha!
Will we have games to play, food to eat, friends to laugh with, and multiple choice adventure labs to answer? Yes to everything (except the last part).
Okay, so let's address the elephant in the room. What is this about a retirement party? Is somebody we know ending a rewarding career?
For more on that, let's welcome our SPECIAL GUESTS for this event:

We are excited to welcome NashvilleJoe & Abbysgrammy (Team NAB) back to the Chattanooga Area. This wonderful couple has been geocaching for 23 years, traveling the country, and leaving an impact on geocaching friends along the way.
Joe & Sharon are no strangers to Tennessee, having lived in Nashville for many years.
They have hinted at "retiring" from geocaching. How is that even possible? What does that even look like? We're not sure, but here's a few theories:
- Retiring from Geocaching is like suddenly telling an active travel bug its done enough miles.
- Retiring from Geocaching is like leaving the party before the FTF cake is served.
- Retiring from Geocaching is like declaring victory in a game that has no finish line.
- Retiring from Geocaching must involve putting your GPSr in a shadow box, and hanging it up in your RV like a memoir. Now that's a thought.....
Nevertheless, Joe & Sharon are retiring from Geocaching, and they wanted to stop in Chattanooga to celebrate a fun and adventurous hobby with their friends. Even if you’ve never met them, say hello and you’ll instantly be a friend!
