LET'S CELEBRATE!
Fun, Friends and Fellowship are the three core items that started it all 20 1/2 years ago at the 1st Midwest Geo Bash. Event caches are a great way to meet new people, meet up with your old Geo-Buddies, explore new places and share memories. Events can be a one time gathering, a once a month gathering or a time to meet up with others once a year. So let's get together and have an event. We can share stories about our favorite Geocaches and events, play a game or 2 and have a chance to win some great MWGB prizes.
When: Friday January 24, 2025
Time: 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Where: Waldron Park, Athens MI
Mother Nature cooperated with us last year, let's see what we get this year. In best Area 51 style, there'll be a fire, a bar (Hot Chocolate though. Drinking and Driving are fowned upon, and there ain't a hotel for miles) and Aliens. Bring your own chairs if you think you'll want a seat. Dress for whatever weather we get, there's no shelter here. Last year's event here was also the birthplace of Flat OCCD. Who knows what this year might spawn?!?!
This event is one of several events being held today to mark the halfway point to Midwest Geobash. "Bash,"as it is known to most who have attended the event, is held each year in Wauseon, Ohio, at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. 2025 marks the 21st year that Geocachers from all over the world have been coming together to enjoy fun, friends and fellowship. Beware...The Dinasaurs are predicted to invade the fairgrounds between July 23rd & July 27th, 2025!!
