Two years ago at the Falls of the Ohio Extreme Hike, several visiting geocachers expressed an interest in the Earthcaches on the Indiana side of the river (which are not on Saturday's Extreme Hike route). This year, we will have a meet and greet event near those caches on Friday evening. This event will be in the new Outdoor Classroom at the Falls of the Ohio State Park. Several local cachers and a State Park volunteer will be available to answer questions on the geology of the area and what to expect on Saturday's Extreme Hike.
This would be a great time to visit the ten Earthcaches that are shown in the below photo. These caches will NOT be on the route for Saturday's Extreme Hike.
Also planned:
- The release of a new AdventureLab.
- An on-site poker run with fabulous prizes (must complete by 6:45PM).
Notes:
- Parking at the State Park is $2. A waypoint has been added for free parking not far away.
- The State Park Interpretive Center closes at 5PM so it's restrooms will not be available. A waypoint has been added for the restrooms in Ashland Park. Please plan accordingly
