Come join us on October 4, 2025, starting at 2:00pm until at least 4:00pm.
Tjheath62 and the 3 caballeros invite you to join in a Photocaching Tour of Clarksville, TN. October 4, 2025. We have a few activites planned, cake, bottled water, and maybe Jalapeno Cheddar Dogs and chips. There will be a few door prizes. New Adventure Labs and new caches around the area.
A list of 7 sets of coordinates for the 7 required stops will be posted here on 10/03/2025. (up to 10 locations is possible) This will allow you to plan your base route. You will receive the full list of photo targets and their point values when you gather at the posted event coordinates.
The basics of this event:
- THIS IS NOT A RACE
- Gather at the posted coordinates at 2:00pm. Teams will depart at one minute intervals beginning around 2:05pm. All teams should be at the final gathering point with their photos by 3:45pm. No bonus points for arriving early.
- You may form a team of no more than 3 cachers.
- Each team will need one digital camera or cell phone.
- You will take at least one photo at each target site.
- The target item must, of course, be clearly visible in your photo
- Each team will receive a special item that must also be visible in each photo
- 2 team members should also be in each photo - exception will be made for a 2 player team, Bonus points if the whole team are in the photos.
- Please no speeding or wreckless driving, it's all for fun. (travel at your own risk and also paying your own fines if acquired)
- Be respectful of the muggles in places you visit
- Plan sufficient time to get your photos back to be judged
- Each of the 7 or 10 required targets is worth (to be determined) points, so your team should be able to score a 99.9999999999 or 100 without going to extremes. Missing a required target is a 20 point deduction.
- The bonus locations (if any) may be worth more points but may take you away from your required targets. Plan accordingly.
- All locations are within 10 crow miles or less, of the initial meeting point.
- Colorful team uniforms or interesting costumes are worth points. How many points? I think I'll let a panel of muggles (if available) judge and assign a value from 1 to 10 points.
- You have the opportunity to log a Community Celebration Event today and also receive a World Postcard Day Souvenier for logging the said event or any cache will get the World Postcard Day Souvenier. (unless already earned in the HQ time frame) if you don't want to do the whole day of fun and just want to hang out to tell tall tales of geocaching.
