To celebrate the autumn, I'm proposing a day in the Tuscan hills, to discover mysteries and traditions.
Ci troviamo domenica 9 novembre a Palaia, borgo situato a circa metà strada tra Pisa e Firenze tra le colline a sud della FI-PI-LI dell'Arno. Esploreremo il borgo alla scoperta della sua storia e dei suoi monumenti.
Il pranzo sarà al Peggio Palaia Pub situato nel centro del borgo. Il menù comprende taglieri, bruschette, acqua e caffè, a 18 € a testa, bevande escluse. Segnalate nei vostri Will Attend se siete interessati e se avete richieste particolari. L'opzione vegetariana è possibile.
Nel pomeriggio ci sposteremo (in auto) verso Montefoscoli, dove andremo alla scoperta del tempio di MInerva Medica, che molti di voi probabilmente conoscono grazie alla storica cache. Ho organizzato una visita guidata del tempio, il costo è tra i 6 e 10 euro a testa a seconda di quanti siamo. Nei vostri Will Attend scrivete se siete interessati alla visita.
Ovviamente ci sarà la possibilità di cercare alcune cache vecchie e nuove nascoste in zona, e si parlerà anche del MEGA event che si terrà a maggio 2026 in Lombardia.
L'evento si terrà anche in caso di pioggia. Indicate nei vostri Will Attend se siete interessati al pranzo e alla visita al tempio.
We'll meet on Sunday, November 9th in Palaia, a village located about halfway between Pisa and Florence, nestled in the hills south of the Arno River. We'll explore the village, discovering its history and monuments.
The lunch will take place at Peggio Palaia Pub situated in the main square of the village. The menu is cold cuts, bruschette, water and coffee, 18 € per person. Other drinks must be paid for separately. In your Will Attend please let me know if you are interested and if you have special requests. A vegetarian option is available.
In the afternoon, we'll travel (by car) to Montefoscoli, where we'll explore the Temple of Minerva Medica, which many of you probably know from its historic cache. I've organized a guided tour of the temple; the cost is between €6 and €10 per person, depending on the number of people interested. Please let me know in your Will Attend if you're interested in a visit.
Of course, there will be the opportunity to search for some old and new caches hidden in the area, and we'll also discuss the MEGA event to be held in Lombardy in May 2026.
