Sunday 2nd March 2025 1400-1600 Sutton Bank Visitor Centre Cafe
It is exactly 10 years since I found my first geocache, The Slaughterhouse (pictures and GC code below). It has sadly been archived and it is in Gosport, Hampshire. Being impractical to hold my 10th Geoversary in the south I have chosen a beautiful local spot.
Please come and help me celebrate my 10th anniversary at this 2025 Community Celebration Event. We have permission to gather in the Visitor Centre Cafe (or in the courtyard if it is warm enough) and chat all things geocaching. There is no purchase necessary, however, refreshments are available if required.
Sutton Bank, part of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, boasts stunning views. There are plenty of geocaches in the area icluding a couple of goden oldies close to the white horse. Feel free to stay and chat or drop in and out between walks and/or finds
Everyone is welcome to help me celebrate this milestone - new cachers or old friends and everyone inbetween. Come along for geochats and friendly faces or simply another smiley face on the map!
Lastly - thank you geocaching for all the adventures, memories, and friends, life would not have been the same without our hobby. Here's to another 10 years!!
The Visitor Centre and Cafe are accessible, however, some of the local geocaches may be a terrain rating of 1.5 or higher. There is plenty of parking (charges may apply) and there are public bathrooms.
