Please come along and help us celebrate 10 years of The Cachekeepers.
The Vivian Village Hall, Blackpill
82 Mumbles Rd, Blackpill, Swansea SA3 5AS
Saturday, November 8th
1pm to 4pm
It doesn't matter if you have a clue who The Cachekeepers are or not; we are cordially inviting everyone who reads this cache page to join us at the hall for some geocaching chat and some food.
We will be providing hot food, tea, coffee and cold drinks, but we'd love it if you would bring some food along too. That's what makes it a potluck. Bring along whatever you can. Crisps, cake, fruit, salad, fizzy pop... anything homemade is of course especially welcome. But, if you don't feel that you can bring anything, that's okay too. You'll still get to tuck in with the rest of us if you want.
Although this event is 3 hours long, that's just so that those of us who are chatterboxes can talk until we run out of steam. If you just want to pop in for 5 minutes and say a quick hello, that's fine too. As you might have gathered, this is intended to be a nice, relaxed event. Just like geocaching, you get to participate in the way that suits you.
If you're new to caching, or geocaching events, this might be quite a good one to attend. If you're at all nervous, drop us (The Cachekeepers) a line and we'll ensure that you don't feel left out.
The hall is located on the main road running from Swansea city centre to Mumbles. There is no parking available at the hall, or on the roads near the hall. But there are 2 car parks roughly 200m (600ft) away. Both have been added as Waypoints.
The Clyne Gardens car park is free, but small and may be full. Also, if you're planning on using this one, ensure that you're NOT parked in the area reserved for patrons of the nearby pub, as that might lead to you getting a ticket.
The Blackpill car park is large and highly unlikely to be full. But if you intend to stay at the event for the full 3 hours, it will cost you nearly £6.
And finally, there is a great bus service that runs from Swansea bus station and drops you off virtually outside. Catch any of the #2, #3 or several other services and ask to be dropped off at "Blackpill"
If you'd like any more information or help, please drop us a line via the message center and we'll do our best to help.
See you on the 8th! ~ The Cachekeepers
